Once you’ve joined, you can share your offers of, and needs for, particular skills, knowledge and resources with numerous networks simultaneously. Our algorithms can propose matches with other willing collaborators, based on your values, interests, and aims. You’re also able to navigate our databases and maps freely, with an interface that allows you to rapidly build a network of fellow members.

Members also have a say in how the platform is run, contributing to ongoing open consultations and voting on key amendments.

Become a volunteer or intern

We are currently looking to expand our team of remote volunteers. There are roles for all skill sets and levels of experience, so if you share our vision and passion, we would love to hear from you. We are also happy to host remote interns, corroborating placements with educational bodies where necessary. The roles we are looking for are listed below.

  • Mappers are tasked with discovering and logging the best projects and practices from across the world in our databases, and can also work on data visualisation.
  • Communications assistants help us manage our social media output, producing multimedia content such as creative graphics and short videos, fielding enquiries from network members, and/or assisting with fundraising efforts.
  • Weavers foster collaborative potential by sensing likely synergies and cross-pollinating members from across diverse networks.
  • Technicians are invited to take on positions of responsibility in software development and improvement, testing our features and supporting our tech teams.
  • Research assistants can conduct audits of existing and potential network members to identify their needs and expectations, producing analysis and commentary.
  • Advisors offer periodic advice on specific organisational challenges.
